The Ashforth Company was honored with the Community Partnership
Award from Literacy Volunteers – Stamford/Greenwich, Inc. at
its annual recognition event.
Richard Battista, executive vice president, finance and administration
accepted the award on behalf of the company. The award is given
to individuals and/or corporations who have provided on-going
and extraordinary dedication to Literacy Volunteers through
board participation, volunteering and philanthropy.
Those recognized are vital to Literacy Volunteers being able
to provide high quality educational opportunities for lower
income adults, young adults and families in the community helping
them to achieve their goals – both personal and professional.
“As Literacy Volunteers’ community partner for over 15 years,
we truly appreciate this recognition but more importantly we
believe in Literacy Volunteers’ education mission and are grateful
for the amazing work accomplished by this vital community organization.
We look forward to reaching new heights helping others, together,”
said Battista.
