David
Marks has had his
hands full at Stamford Square with both KPMG and
GE but he has maintained his positive attitude
and helped advance our relationships during extremely
trying lease renewals. His dedication was also
apparent this past winter when he got up in the
wee hours of the morning to drive the truck and
plow the snow at Stamford Square and 707.
His
annual commitment to fundraising for the Bennett
Cancer WALK keeps him in the top fundraiser category,
and this year he was THE top fundraiser for Ashforth’s
WALK Team raising $5,800 out of the Team total
of $13,300. And most importantly, he keeps Heather
laughing, Donovan and Gary busy, and provides us
all with many examples of how to best embody The
Ashforth Service Cycle.
For
this and for his years of devoted service, we congratulate
David as our 2009 Employee of the Year! |

Lisa
Donaldson is responsible for almost 1 million square
feet of property on a daily basis. Her accomplishments this
year include a $1.7 million elevator modernization and her
portfolio saw 23 lease deals this year – each with their
own special conditions from demanding tenants to complicated
TI build-outs to on-time move-ins. All handled with the utmost
of professionalism. The
pursuit of additional education in the real estate field
is a top priority for Lisa. RPA and CPM designations are
within her grasp.
As
a testiment to her character, when
she registered for the BOMA National conference this year, she won a free registration. She donated the registration to the Exchange Building's Property Manager, Jennie Dorsett (The Exchange Building was up for a National award), and also shared a room with Jennie so the Exchange Building would incur no extra expenses as a result.
It is with great honor that we congratulate Lisa as our
Ashforth Pacific, Inc. 2009 Employee of the Year. |
The
following nominees for the 2009
ALBERT B. ASHFORTH EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD were
recognized for their “outstanding performance, service
and commitment” at The Ashforth Company’s annual
holiday party. Each
employee who was nominated for the 2009 Employee-of-the-Year
received a check for $500.

Gary
Hock has worked tirelessly as the Building
Engineer for 2777 Summer Street and 707 Summer St.
He treats both buildings like they are his home and
often dedicates hours of work to them that he is
not recognized for. He is skilled in electrical,
carpentry, HVAC and general maintenance. It would
be close to impossible to replace him and find such
a highly skilled, caring worker. |

Mike
Steadman was the Superintendent for the
renovation of Steele Hall at Canterbury School. This
building, which houses the school’s administrative
offices, cafeteria and library, was expanded on three
sides. The cafeteria and the library had to remain
fully operational throughout the construction process.
He accommodated numerous scope changes while maintaining
the rigorous schedule that we had in place. The client
and the architect were extremely pleased with his
performance, which obviously reflected very well
on A. P. Construction.
