A.P. Construction Company, the construction management and general contracting division of The Ashforth Company, has recently completed construction on the Brae Burn Country Club located in Purchase, NY and Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck, NY. This marks the seventh and eighth club A.P. Construction has completed in the last three years.
The Brae Burn Country Club project consists of renovating 28,000 square feet of the clubhouse building including the kitchen, grillroom, ball room and the men’s and women’s locker rooms. This is A.P. Construction’s second project completed at Brae Burn.
Other extensive renovations made to the exterior of the building include a new porte-cochere, a new roof, and a redesign of the exterior façade to incorporate shingles and new windows. The site work includes a new dining terrace and a redesigned entry drive to improve the arrival experience.

Work at the Beach Point Club included a new 3,000 square foot pool house for the pool equipment, bathrooms, staff room with lockers, first aid and lifeguard office. The project also included the removal and relocation of two existing pools to a new location. The new zero entry wading pool is 30’ x 40’. The main pool is approximately 5,400 square feet and includes a ten foot deep diving area. Due to the close proximity to the Long Island Sound and the high water table it was necessary to anchor the piers to bedrock and then anchor the new pool structures to the piers.

“We are pleased to complete another renovation with Brae Burn Country Club and be selected to enhance numerous country clubs over the last three years in both the Fairfield and Westchester counties, particularly during this time of reduced construction activity.” said Nicholas S. Everett, Senior Vice President of A.P. Construction Company. |
